Ashley McGuigan works full time with Atlantic Lottery as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Specialist playing a lead role in the advancement of Atlantic Lottery’s CSR framework. She holds a BA from the University of New Brunswick Fredericton with a Major in Sociology and graduated from the Nova Scotia Community College with the Human Services program specializing in Addiction Counselling. Ashley resides in Charlottetown with her husband Jason, their daughter and dog. Ashley is excited to be a member of the Family Service Board of Directors and to help work towards providing exceptional services to Islanders.
Dan is recently retired after a fulfilling career in the provincial public service.Possessing a MSW, Dan worked as a social worker with Child and Family Services before moving to supervisory and management positions. He later worked in management positions with the Office of Attorney General and the Public Service Commission.Family is an important part of his life as he enjoys time with his wife, Carol Ann, their three adult children, their spouses, and five grandchildren. He is active in a variety of volunteer activities in his community and enjoys a variety of sport and fitness activities
Veronica Powell works full time with Health PEI as Clinical Social Worker specializing in the area of mental health. She holds a BA from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Major in Psychology as well as an MSW degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, within the area of Clinical Social Work. Veronica resides in Charlottetown with her family. Veronica considers working with the board to be a wonderful opportunity as she is passionate about helping Islanders in need and aims to make this her focus as she continues to move forward in her role as a social worker.
Andy has a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education from St. F.X. He has since retired in 2011 from a career in teaching(11 years) and Human Resources with the Province(21 years). He has lived in West Prince for 11 years and has been in the Charlottetown area the past 26 years.
