Ashley McGuigan – Board Chair

Ashley McGuigan works full time with Atlantic Lottery as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Specialist playing a lead role in the advancement of Atlantic Lottery’s CSR framework. She holds a BA from the University of New Brunswick Fredericton with a Major in Sociology and graduated from the Nova Scotia Community College with the Human Services program specializing in Addiction Counselling. Ashley resides in Charlottetown with her husband Jason, their daughter and dog. Ashley is excited to be a member of the Family Service Board of Directors and to help work towards providing exceptional services to Islanders.

Tracey Handrahan – Vice Chair

Tracey joined Family Service PEI in 2012 and currently acts as our Vice Chair. Tracey has many years of experience working with people, and is currently a Social Assistance Case Worker with the province. Tracey's vast knowledge is an asset to Family Service PEI's goal of providing Islanders with effective and affordable services.

Debbie Acorn – Secretary

Debbie Acorn joined the FSPEI team in 2016 and is our Secretary. Debbie is passionate about helping people, and works for the province as a Social Assistance Case Worker. Debbie's experience in the Human Service field is a great asset to FSPEI.

Andrew Gallant – Treasurer

Andy has a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education from St. F.X. He has since retired in 2011 from a career in teaching (11 years) and Human Resources with the Province(21 years). He has lived in West Prince for 11 years and has been in the Charlottetown area the past 26 years.

Sapphire MacPhee

Sapphire MacPhee is a Registered Social Worker who currently works full time at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino as a PlayWise Advisor Supervisor. Sapphire has a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Dalhousie University, as well as a Diploma in Criminology from Eastern College. Sapphire lives in Kingston PEI, with her husband and two children.

Rebecca MacPhee

Rebecca MacPhee is currently working at 4-H PEI on a one year contract. Rebecca holds a degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Prince Edward Island and a diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education from Holland College. After graduating from UPEI, she worked in an Early Years Centre as an Early Childhood Educator and enjoyed working with children and families. Rebecca has gained experience with various populations on the Island and looks forward to continuing to serve communities. Rebecca resides in Souris.

Jessica Reddin
Jessica Reddin is working as both a full-time parent and a part-time graduate student at Mount Saint Vincent University in the department of family studies. Her interest in family studies stems from the belief that family well-being significantly impacts the well-being of individuals, which goes on to impact society on a whole. Therefore, to better service the community, she feels it is important to support families in meeting their needs. More specifically, Jessica’s professional interests include family life education, crisis prevention, family-centered practice, family-centered policy, evidence-based practice, and resiliency research. Jessica looks forward to working together with the staff and other Family Services PEI board members to create the best possible services for families in PEI.
